                    DOCUMENTATON.

        
                TYPING TEST / CLASSROOM - is extremely flexible tool
        that allow to set the most suitable classroom environment 
        for variety of typing drills and tests. The drills and 
        tests can be based either on the preset time interval or 
        the length of the typed document. The verification of the
        accuracy can be done either in Stop-on-Error mode or using 
        command VERIFY from the MAIN MENU. Classroom environment is
        set up within SETUP MENU. It is good idea to run several 
        options from SETUP MENU just to get oriented. 
        Original setting can be easily restored by command DEFAULT.

        
        List of participating files: 
        
        VIKDOCUM.TXT - this documentation;
        VIKTEXT.TXT  - typed text;
        VIKSAMPL.TXT - a prototype used for typing and 
                        verification;
        VIKRESLT.TXT - result of verification after issuing
                        command VERIFY;
        VIKINSTR.TXT - message from instructor, can be
                        displayed mandatory or on demand;
        Name VIKSAMPL.TXT is variable, it can be changed 
        using Edit command from Setup Menu.
        
                Both VIKSAMPL.TXT and VIKINSTR.TXT can be created 
        using modest word processing capabilities of the program or 
        imported as ASCII (text) files from any avalable word 
        processor. Instructions can be displayed mandatory, before 
        test started, or on demand, using DISPLAY MENU.

                    GETTING STARTED.
        ************************************************************
        Installation of the program on the hard disk is not
        MANDATORY: the program can be run from floppy.

        1) Make drive and directory where TYPECLAS located
        current;
        2) TYPECLAS<ENTER>;

        ***NOTE: to activate any command just press highlited 
        letter.
        Instead Exit command "ESC" key may be used that call 
        previous menu.
     
        3) SETUP/DEFAULT - this command creates file VIKSET.INI
        and displays DEFAULT SETTINGS as CURRENT SETTINGS.
        4) Command EDIT of SETUP menu may be used to change
        CURRENT SETTINGS.
        5) Return to the MAIN MENU.
        6) TEST.
        To interrupt test before preset time expired
        use "ESC" key; statistics will be displayed for the 
        text typed.
        7) VERIFY.
        8) To display/print or print results use DISPLAY or 
        PRINT MENUS.
